Overview
Several devices can be used to display Internet sites (Pocket PC, Smartphone, iPhone, ...) but the size of the screen on these devices is often smaller than the size of the screen on a computer.
WEBDEV allows you to display different page formats in the page editor to help you develop sites adapted to these types of screens. The page format is represented by dotted lines.
How to proceed?

Viewing a page format in the page editor

To view a page format in the page editor:
  1. Select "Display .. Navigation size" (or press [CTRL] + [ALT] + [M]).
  2. Select the navigation size that will be used as reference size:
    • Small-Width navigation
    • Medium-Width navigation
    • Large-Width navigation
    • Pocket PC
    • Smartphone
    • Custom navigation size. In this case, you have the ability to define the navigation size (width and height of the browser). The option "The site must comply with the height of pages" is used to define the height of pages.
  3. Validate. The selected navigation size is automatically displayed in the page editor, as dotted lines. For example:

Note: For a custom navigation size, if the option "The site must respect the height of pages" is selected, the horizontal line used to delimit the height of the page is displayed in black in order to view the maximum height of the site. If this option is not checked, the horizontal line is grayed and the vertical line is unlimited.
In this case, if the controls overflow the specified area, scrollbars will be displayed in the browser to allow the Web user to see the information displayed.

Displaying (or not) the selected navigation size

To display (or not) the selected navigation size, select "Display .. View the navigation size" or press [CTRL] + [M].
Note: The selected navigation size is displayed for all the pages of the project.
