Processes managed by WINDEV and WINDEV Mobile

In a window, WINDEV and WINDEV Mobile manage the following processes by default (in the order in which they appear in the code editor):
ProcessRuntime condition
InitializationRun when opening the window. (*)
ClickRun during a mouse click on the Chart control.

Run in an iPhone/iPad application before displaying the tooltip when pressing a chart value with a finger.
This process is used to start a specific procedure for example.

(*) By default, the "Initializing" process of each control is run according to the creation order of controls in the window. To modify this runtime order:
  1. Select "Windows .. Edit the initialization order".On the "Window" pane, in the "Order" group, click "Initialization".
  2. In the window that is displayed, use the arrows on the right to modify the initialization order of controls.

Processes managed by WEBDEV

In a page, WEBDEV manages the following processes by default (in the order in which they appear in the code editor):

Run whenever the image of the chart is loaded and displayed by the browser.

Processes available in the report editor

The report editor manages the following processes by default (in the order in which they appear in the code editor):
ProcessRuntime condition
InitializationRun when initializing the report. The order in which the processes are run when printing a report (including during a test) is as follows:
  • "Opening" process of the report.
  • "Initialization" process of report blocks.
  • "Initialization" process of controls.
Before printingRun before printing the control.
ClickRun when clicking the control. The click on the control is available in the print preview only. A star allows the user to easily identify the clickable controls.
Optional processes
Several optional processes can be managed.
To manage an optional process, all you have to do is select it in the icon bar of code window.

To add an optional process:
  1. Select the requested control.
  2. Display the code window of this control ([F2] key).
  3. Click the link "Add other processes to xxx" found at the end of window code, after the last process.
  4. All the optional processes available for the control are displayed.
  5. Check the optional process to add and validate.
    Note: You have the ability to select several optional processes.
  6. The selected optional process is automatically added into the processes managed by the control
To disable an optional process, perform the same operations to display the list of optional processes. Then, all you have to do is uncheck the optional processes to delete.
Note: If the disabled code contains WLanguage code, this code is automatically deleted.
You have the ability to manage:
  • the control rollover with the mouse,
  • the left mouse button down, up, with a double click,
  • the right mouse button down, up, with double click,
  • the mouse wheel, ...

Optional processes specific to the Chart controls

WINDEV proposes two optional processes specific to the Chart controls:
ProcessRuntime condition
Horizontal zoomRun during a zoom in a Chart control. This process is run:
  • if only the horizontal zoom is enabled.
  • whether the horizontal zoom and the vertical zoom are enabled.
Vertical zoomRun during a zoom in a Chart control. This process is run:
  • if only the vertical zoom is enabled.
  • whether the horizontal zoom and the vertical zoom are enabled.
These zoom processes can be used to manage the zoom in the image overlaid on the chart.

  • Version 10
