Characteristics of item
A Check Box control can correspond to an item in a data file, a query, ...
The following types of items can be associated with a check box:
  • Numeric
  • Boolean
  • Check Box
If the check box contains a single option, the item will take for value:
  • 1 if the box is checked
  • 0 if the box is not checked.
If the check box contains several options, an array item is required. Each element of the array item will correspond to a check box option, and will take the following value:
  • 1 if the box is checked
  • 0 if the box is not checked.
Retrieving the content of the Check Box control in an item
1st case: the window, the page or the report is associated with a data file
All the items of the data file (or linked file) associated with a control found in the window, report or page will be assigned by ScreenToFile.
2nd case: the window, the page or the report is not associated with a specific data file
Each control must be assigned individually.
1. The check box has a single option: use the following syntax:
<File Name>.<Item Name> = <Name of Check Box>
2. The check box has several options and it is linked to an array item: use the following syntax:
<File Name>.<ItemName>[Option Subscript] = <Name of Check Box>[Option Subscript]
