The rssEnclosure type is used to describe and handle the attachment of an entry of RSS stream. The characteristics of this type of variable can be defined and modified by several WLanguage properties.
This type of variable is used by the rssEntry type.
Notes:
  • In most cases, the declaration of a rssEnclosure variable is not required. Indeed, the properties of the rssEntry type allow you to directly handle the properties of the rssEnclosure type.

Properties specific to the description of rssEnclosure variables

The following properties can be used to handle a rssEnclosure variable
PropertyType usedEffect
Size (*)IntegerSize of document in bytes.
Type (*)Character stringMIME type of the document. More than 150 types are defined in the MIME communication standard (available on Internet). The most common values are:
  • "application/pdf": document in PDF format (*.pdf)
  • "text/html": HTML page (*.htm, *.html)
  • "text/plain": text file (*.txt)
  • "image/gif": image in GIF format (*.gif)
  • "image/jpeg": image in JPEG format (*.jpg, *.jpeg)
  • "video/mpeg": video in MPEG format (*.mpg, *.mpeg)
  • "application/unknown": used to display a dialog box proposing to download the file onto the computer of Web user.
  • "application/msword": Word file.
  • "application/vnd.ms-excel": Excel file.
URL (*)Character stringURL used to access the document.
Notes:
  • The properties followed by a star (*) are mandatory.
  • All the properties found in this list are available in read/write.
  • These properties can be used via one of the following syntaxes:
    • <Variable Name>..<Property Name>
    • <Variable Name>.<Property Name>
