Overview
Google AdWords proposes the "Traffic Estimator" service. This service is used to get the estimated traffic regarding the keywords: number of clicks per day, cost per click, etc
This service can be used to estimate:
  • an isolated keyword,
  • the keywords of an ad group,
  • the keywords of a campaign.
You can for example estimate a keyword by taking into account (or not) the criteria for geographical targeting of the campaign.
This help page explains how to use this service with the WLanguage functions.
Note: In the interface of Google AdWord, this service corresponds to the tool for traffic estimate.
Reminder: To handle the Google AdWords service by programming, you must necessarily use the Google AdWords APIs. These APIs have a cost associated to them. GglAdWGetMethodCost is used to estimate the cost of each function.
Warning: Before using a feature linked to Google services, we strongly recommend that you check the license for using this service. Some restrictions may apply. The content of licenses may change over time.
PC SOFT is in no case responsible for the way the native access functions are used. Make sure that you comply with the license of service provider.
Caution: If you are using a proxy to access Internet, the proxy must be configured (Proxy) to use the Google functions.
How to proceed?

Using the "Traffic Estimator" service

To use the "Traffic estimator" service:
  1. Create a gglAdWKeywordRequest variable. This variable contains all the characteristics of the keyword for which the traffic estimate must be performed.
  2. Create (if necessary) a gglAdWAdGroupRequest variable and a gglAdWCampaignRequest variable to estimate the keywords linked to an ad group or to a campaign.
Note: The estimate of an existing or new element is defined by the presence of ..Identifier in the different variables. For example, to estimate the keywords of a new campaign, all you have to do is create a gglAdWCampaignRequest variable with ..Identifier not filled. To estimate the keywords of an existing campaign, all you have to do is create a gglAdWCampaignRequest variable by specifying the identifier of an existing campaign in ..Identifier.
  3. Run the function corresponding to your search:
